Postumus, Romano-Gallic Emperor, 260-269. Antoninianus (Billon, 20 mm, 3.33 g, 6 h), Cologne, early 268. POSTVMVS AVG Radiate bust of Postumus to left, in the guise of Hercules, holding club over his right shoulder and wearing lion skin over his left. Rev. IOVI STATORI Jupiter standing front, head to right, holding long scepter in his right hand and thunderbolt in his left. AGK (corr.) 38b. Cohen 160. Cunetio -. Elmer 562. Mairat 442.9 (this coin). RIC 310. Very rare. Nicely toned and with an impressive bust type. Thin flan crack and struck from the usual somewhat worn dies, otherwise, good very fine.
